Cloud9 Blue sign Poiz

Cloud9 on Twitter have announced the signing of Michael “poiz” Possis to their Valorant Blue roster as a sixth player.

We said we were poised to make an announcement and here it is.

Known for his trampling game-play in Valorant’s ranked mode, Poiz has been handed a massive breakthrough in his career by signing up with Cloud9 for their Valorant Blue roster. Back then when he played by the IGN, “DOINKMACHINE97”, he placed second on the North American Leaderboard in October 2020 followed by his first-ever #1 finish on the same in the very next month. Poiz mainly plays the role of a duelist with Jett and represented team SOR at the first strike where they breezed past through Team XSET in the qualifier. He was later supposed to stand in for Immortals at the ongoing VCT but was unable as the request for the same was withdrawn.

The 19yo North American Prodigy used to play Overwatch before he made the switch to Riot’s First-person tactical shooter and since then has been on a spree with a KD ratio of 1.49 from his competitive games. According to reports, he might replace Mitch “mitch” Semago which will allow the latter to play his role as a sentinel on the team. As of now, no assumptions can be made with his future at Cloud9 whether he will step in as a permanent player or play a specific set of maps. Before getting Poiz, Cloud9 signed Nathan “leaf” Orf from Chaos Esports, Son “Xeta” Seon-ho from their Korean Squad with whom they earlier parted ways along Yoon “Autumn” Eu-teum as their head coach.

With this addition, Cloud9 Blue are now:

  • Mitch “mitch” Semago
  • Skyler “Relyks” Weaver
  • Daniel “vice” Kim
  • Nathan “leaf” Orf
  • Son “xeta” Seon-ho
  • Michael “poiz” Possis
  • Yoon “autumn” Eu-teum (Head Coach)
  • James “JamezIRL” Macaulay (Assistant Coach)
