New Valorant Agent Will be a Controller, Confirms Riot

It hasn’t been long since the release of the new Valorant Duelist Yoru, and fans have already started wondering about what the next Valorant agent is gonna be like. Luckily, in yesterday’s blog post on the ‘State of the Agents’, Riot Games has informed fans about their plans regarding the next agent.

Character Producer @RiotMEMEMEMEME returns to talk Viper and Yoru balance, with an added hint of our next Agent. Read it from the source here: https://t.co/zpIuvMJBO3

Good news for fans of the Controller role in Valorant, since Riot has confirmed that the next agent is gonna be a Controller. However, unlike other Controllers already present in the shooter, the next agent is set to be a “cosmic shift from the play patterns you’ve grown accustomed to.”

According to the blog post, the agent is dedicated to all the “galaxy brain” players of the community who “like to study everything that happens on a map.”

No further hints have been left by the developers on what the abilities of this new agent might be.

Riot has also mentioned that Viper isn’t receiving any changes in the next patch, while Yoru is expected to receive some buffs since the team isn’t happy about the level of success the Duelist has achieved since its release.
